As things went for Liz, those prognostications proved to be true. They also turned out to be a disaster for her and her government. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Records_of_prime_ministers_of_the_United_Kingdom#Period_of_service\">She now is a record-holder in the annals of UK premierships<\/a><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cOf those with clear terms, the prime minister with the total shortest period in office is Liz Truss, whose term will last between 44 and 51 days from 6 September 2022 until her resignation on the selection of a successor, expected within one week of 20 October 2022. Previously, the prime minister with the total shortest period in office had been George Canning, whose sole term lasted 119 days from 12 April 1827 until his death on 8 August 1827.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Her first policy decisions \u2013 the energy \u2018relief\u2019 bill and the tax cuts for the richest members of Britain\u2019s upper caste drew outrage from the public and even Conservatives \u2013 and the latter is really saying something. There was a running bet in British tabloid media about which would last longer \u2013 a head of lettuce or her premiership. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/ftw.usatoday.com\/lists\/liz-truss-resigns-lettuce-why-explained\">It looks like the lettuce won<\/a><\/span>. Asparagus spears may prove to be more accurate still. More on the latter later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">King Charles III recently stated he wanted to be more involved with the government, in this case meaning the Truss administration, whatever that means \u2013 whether greater protection for the wealth of the Windsors or more oversight regarding government policy. The Truss administration was under the microscope from the start, both by Charles and by the public. It is going to be an interesting period in the UK, these months ahead. We start with the timeline of her administration and then a look at the chart for the beginning of her administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For her first act, Truss announced her \u2018<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/984129f9-a133-468b-bc38-e8c4ec7386d6\">energy support package<\/a><\/span>\u2019, \u2018capping\u2019 energy expenditures per household at \u00a32500\/yr for the next couple of years. The markets immediately gasped, along with the British public.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act II, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/malvinartley.com\/blog.malvinartley.com\/2022\/09\/09\/the-queens-last-act\/\">the Queen died<\/a><\/span> (<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/northernireland\/comments\/x93j2o\/did_liz_truss_kill_the_queen\/\">really, it wasn\u2019t Truss\u2019 fault<\/a><\/span>), putting her administration on hold for a few days of <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/human-interest\/2022\/09\/queen-elizabeth-funeral-charles-schedule.html\">that other spectacle of national mourning<\/a><\/span>. There was already mourning for Truss\u2019 premiership.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act III, she <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/news\/politics\/liz-truss-appearance-prime-minister-global-stage-reading-queens-funeral-1866727\">gave a Bible reading at the funeral of the Queen<\/a><\/span>, as you would. She was <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/politics\/1671128\/liz-truss-mistaken-minor-royal-queen-funeral-australia-tv-channel-nine\">mistaken for a \u2018minor royal\u2019<\/a><\/span>, by an observant TV presenter. Australians\u2026taking the piss, maybe<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act IV, she traveled to <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.un.org\/en\/story\/2022\/09\/1127441\">the UNGA meeting where she gave an address<\/a><\/span> on the need to fight for democracy (<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theelephant.info\/long-reads\/2022\/09\/09\/britains-unelected-leaders-a-class-detached-from-reality\/\">a bit of irony, that<\/a><\/span>) and thereafter met with sleepy Joe, reaffirming her government\u2019s <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/09\/21\/readout-of-president-joe-bidens-meeting-with-prime-minister-liz-truss-of-the-united-kingdom\/\">undying fealty to American foreign policy<\/a><\/span>. At least they agreed on the Good Friday Agreement and keeping up the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act V (there are quite a few acts to this show. A continuous supply of popcorn was in order, or a few stiff martinis \u2013 shaken, not stirred) <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2022\/sep\/23\/kwasi-kwarteng-mini-budget-key-points-at-a-glance\">there was her Kwasi mini-budget<\/a><\/span>. That\u2019s a play on words, btw. \u2018Kwasi\u2019 sounds like \u2018quasi, as in \u2018almost\u2019. The pound tanked, going <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/business\/british-pound-falling-1.6595735\">Kwasi to parity with the US dollar<\/a><\/span> before bouncing back. The <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2022\/09\/26\/short-the-pound-uk-government-liz-truss-kwarteng-budget-hedge-funds-george-soros\/\">hedge funds made a fortune shorting the pound<\/a><\/span>. The Chancellor trotted off to celebrate his brilliant budget with <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/7f5fc97a-0446-480d-ac9a-2a5f503c7622\">a champagne toast to him at the home of his hedge fund boss<\/a><\/span> and new-found banker buddies. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scotsman.com\/news\/politics\/kwarteng-faces-calls-for-inquiry-after-champagne-do-with-financiers-3864116\">Hmmm\u2026.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act VI, the <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/uk\/imf-moodys-censure-uk-policy-bank-england-says-will-act-big-2022-09-28\/\">BoE stepped in<\/a><\/span> and began furiously buying as much government debt as possible to quell the bloodletting from the Kwasi budget.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act VII, Truss stood on the bow of her sinking barge and defiantly squeaked out that <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/business\/articles\/2022-09-29\/uks-truss-defends-economic-plan-that-sent-pound-tumbling\">she was standing firm with her policies<\/a><\/span>. Her Kwasi policies were barely afloat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act VIII, Truss reversed the tax cuts for the richest Brits. (the knives began to come out). They didn\u2019t want to, but guys\u2026the bankers, the markets, you know?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act IX, Liz trotted off for the inaugural meeting of the European Political Community in Prague. A little vacation was in order. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2022\/oct\/06\/liz-truss-european-political-community-meeting-prague\">She and Macron are besties<\/a><\/span>, you know? It was getting hot in London. A few people hoped her decision to attend was the sign of a reset in relations between Brussels and London. Oh, that was a good one! \u201cThis is not about moving closer to Europe,\u201d she said. Come on\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act X, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/europe\/bank-england-buy-inflation-linked-uk-gilts-2022-10-11\/\">the BoE stepped in again, trying to stave off a real financial crash and \u2018fire sale\u2019<\/a><\/span> dynamics. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/4d230c4e-4b6f-4ead-a915-16ff1b699eb5\">A fire sale<\/a><\/span> \u2013 <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/peoplesdispatch.org\/2019\/07\/23\/the-imf-and-world-bank-partners-in-backwardness\/\">just what the IMF ordered<\/a>!<\/span> The Kwasi Chancellor in response <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/it.finance.yahoo.com\/news\/kwasi-kwarteng-publish-fiscal-plan-obr-forecasts-093047730.html\">brought forward the publication date for his brilliant fiscal plan<\/a><\/span> and economic forecast. There were warnings of a fierce Atlantic storm brewing. Still, Kwasi and Truss were squeaking into the growing headwinds <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/money.usnews.com\/investing\/news\/articles\/2022-10-12\/uk-government-no-spending-cuts-no-reverse-on-tax-cuts\">their defiance at reversing their huge tax cuts or cutting public spending<\/a><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/bank-of-england-confirms-bond-buying-programme-will-end-on-friday-12718515#:~:text=UK%20government%20borrowing%20costs%20have,known%20as%20gilts%2C%20would%20stop.\">British government borrowing hit a 20-year high<\/a><\/span>. The gilt was starting to flake off of British bonds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For Act XI, Truss, in a sad moment of realization turned to Kwasi and said, \u201cReally, it\u2019s been fun dude, but <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2022\/10\/14\/liz-truss-sacks-finance-minister-kwasi-kwarteng-united-kingdom-prime-minister-market-turmoil\/\">all good things come to an end<\/a><\/span>.\u201d Kwasi shuffled off to destroy his next hedge fund scheme. Truss U-turned, got the bailing bucket on her sinking barge and <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/politics\/2022\/oct\/13\/liz-truss-may-raise-corporation-tax-in-further-budget-u-turn\">reversed her tax cuts to corporations, raising them to 25%<\/a><\/span>. Swords, pitchforks and torches began to appear. She also added that <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/world\/europe\/britain-to-keep-increase-in-corporation-tax-pm-truss-says\">public spending would have to be \u2018somewhat curtailed\u2019<\/a><\/span>. She was heard to reply, \u201cOops! <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"file:\/\/\/C:\\Users\\tian_\\Documents\\Site%20Docs\\Blogs\\acknowledges%20her%20government\u2019s%20plans%20for%20had%20gone%20\u201cfurther%20and%20faster\u201d%20than%20investors%20were%20expecting\">We may have made a few errors<\/a>.<\/span> Mind you, <em>may have<\/em>\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Then, to round out our acts here, Truss placed the \u2018<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opendemocracy.net\/en\/jeremy-hunt-tory-leadership-boris-johnson-nhs-junior-doctors\/\">Butcher of the NHS<\/a><\/span>\u2019 \u2013 one Jeremy Hunt \u2013 <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/politics\/2022\/oct\/14\/liz-truss-appoints-jeremy-hunt-as-chancellor-after-sacking-kwarteng\">in the position of Chancellor<\/a><\/span>. He <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-63284391\">immediately took the long knives to her budget<\/a><\/span>. He was heard to mention that <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-politics-63229690\">government spending cuts (like to the NHS, for instance), \u201cmay be needed\u201d<\/a><\/span>. Way to go, Jeremy. The public admires your \u2018fiscal responsibility\u2019. They can make do with less, the rabble. The British press agreed when they announced his new posting. Just listen:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EmYwBHooA_M\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Regardless, the show must go on, that is, until it doesn\u2019t. We\u2019ll get to that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">What about this premiership, then? Liz Truss began her tenure as the current PM of the UK when the Queen gave her blessing to the new administration. This was done at Balmoral Castle on 6 Sep 2022 at approximately 12:52 BST. Mars is in the 7<sup>th<\/sup> house of the figure (litigation, open enemies). This was always going to be a contentious government.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For any government, the 10<sup>th<\/sup> house, its ruler and any planets therein are prime considerations. The Virgo MC in the figure, ruled by Mercury is conjunct the Sun, the latter conjunct Orcus. The Sun\/Orcus conjunction can be a punishing combination. It can also represent someone who is a fall guy if other factors are present. Well get to that shortly, too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Then there are the midpoints to the MC\/Mars square, that square describing, \u201c<strong>An excitable disposition<\/strong>, the <strong>inclination to act under emotional stress<\/strong>, <strong>premature action, impulsiveness, a lack of purpose and direction with regard to an aim<\/strong> in life.\u201d The associated midpoints are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Sun\/Ven: \u201cThe power of attainment, <strong>the urge to become important<\/strong>, a strong will. &#8211; The <strong>desire to attain success in life at all cost<\/strong>, the ability to procure the power for giving orders to others, the overcoming of resistance or obstacles.\u201d And to Venus, we have, \u201cSexual desire, the tendency to do everything with love. &#8211; <strong>Acting or deciding anything purely from motives of 1ove alone<\/strong>, a person giving way to sexual impulse.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">We will return to the Saturn\/Neptune midpoint presently, but this \u201cacting or deciding anything purely from motives of 1ove alone\u201d (highlighted above) bears some expanding upon. Ignoring the sexual side of the latter Venusian influence, Truss was selected by the Conservative party to be PM. Why, when it was well known she was narcissistic and malleable? Well, that was precisely why.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The Big Money wanted Truss in place to push through their agenda of lower taxes (for them), lower public spending (meaning more money and control for them), smaller government and so forth. Kwarteng was the foil to Truss\u2019 premiership. She was selected because she would execute their policies without giving it much thought and because <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/bylinetimes.com\/2022\/10\/04\/the-tentacles-of-tufton-street-think-tank-alumni-handed-top-government-roles\/\">she filled her cabinet with Tufton Street scions<\/a><\/span> \u2013 the very people who engineered and pushed through Brexit. There was <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/malvinartley.com\/blog.malvinartley.com\/2022\/01\/08\/the-lack-of-truss-in-uk-politics\/\">this in a previous post regarding Truss<\/a><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThe bottom line here is that Truss would be a dangerous PM for the public in the UK, unless she is hiding some progressive agenda very close to her chest. Yes, there are serious doubts of that. Her elevation to PM would likely be the final curtain call for any social welfare and workers\u2019 rights in the UK. And that is precisely why the Tories have groomed her for the job. For the British social safety net to be saved \u2013 also once the envy of the world, or at least Europe \u2013 there needs to be a lack of Truss and her like in any major way in UK government. And lack of trust in UK government and major parties grows by the week.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DoubleDownNews\/status\/1583113636071247873\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Liz Truss was the PM for the oligarchs<\/span><\/a>, most of whom live outside the UK\u2019s borders. And when she backtracked on the tax cuts, her fate was sealed. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/politics\/liz-truss-campaign-donor-bp-b2162606.html\">Her biggest campaign donor<\/a><\/span> was the wife of a former BP executive. If she had stayed she would have been pro-fracking. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheTrawlPodcast\/status\/1572486030002987008\">The UK has been drifting toward fascism for years<\/a><\/span>, accelerated under the Tories. Truss was to be an instrument to further it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Truss was to be the Manchurian candidate were the plans of the oligarchy to be successful, and the fall girl should they fail, which thus far they have not been able to fully realize. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/scheerpost.com\/2022\/10\/02\/patrick-lawrence-the-west-technocrats-incompetents-ideologues\/\">Truss imagined herself to be the reincarnation of Maggie Thatcher<\/a><\/span>, the PM who brought the institution of neoliberalism of the UK. Hopefully instead, Liz Truss will be the one who begins to see it out. With those points in mind we return to the Saturn\/Neptune=MC\/Mars midpoint combination:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Sat\/Nep: \u201c<strong>A peculiar character<\/strong>, a <strong>frequent change of mood<\/strong>, the <strong>tendency to lose courage quickly<\/strong>, <strong>wavering between materialistic and idealistic inclinations<\/strong>. &#8211; Emotional suffering, <strong><em>the state of illness<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d And, \u201c<strong>Lack of energy<\/strong>, listlessness, <strong><em>lack of creative energy<\/em><\/strong>. &#8211; Weak procreative powers. &#8211; Inactivity through emotional depression or sickness.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The latter midpoint to the MC\/Mars square is most revealing of the Truss administration, as it shows weakness, a lack of creativity, and <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LouisHenwood\/status\/1571973713137901569?t=7i98KStvEX_hGgGIB2Zkfw&amp;s=08\">some rather peculiar characters<\/a><\/span>, all of which served to bring the premiership to a quick close. When the cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me of the Conservative Party chose Truss, what they didn\u2019t know or had miscalculated was that she would turn to a ripe Stilton on the British nose. The Sabian symbols for the Truss administration are interesting, if the time is correct:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The Sabian symbol for the rising degree:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">A girl\u2019s face breaking into a smile. (16<sup>th<\/sup> degree of Scorpio) Well, she was \u2018the chosen one\u2019, after all. Why not smile at her success?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">And then we have the symbol for the solar degree:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">An aristocratic family tree (14<sup>th<\/sup> degree of Virgo) She was put in place to serve the aristocrats of the Conservative Party<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The culminating degree (MC) is also of interest:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">An expressionist painter at work (9<sup>th<\/sup> degree of Virgo)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">A word about expressionism is in order here. All of these symbols are particularly pertinent to the UK today, but the expressionist painting below is perhaps the clearest presentation about this particular British administration:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"566\" height=\"705\" class=\"wp-image-2305\" src=\"https:\/\/malvinartley.com\/blog.malvinartley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/munch_scream.jpeg\" alt=\"munch_scream\" srcset=\"https:\/\/malvinartley.com\/blog.malvinartley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/munch_scream.jpeg 566w, https:\/\/malvinartley.com\/blog.malvinartley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/munch_scream-241x300.jpeg 241w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 566px) 100vw, 566px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">For those readers not familiar with the painting, it is <em>The Scream<\/em> by Edvard Munch (1893), Expressionism is a modernist movement, initially in poetry and painting, originating in Northern Europe around the beginning of the 20th century. Its typical trait is to present the world solely from a subjective perspective, distorting it radically for emotional effect in order to evoke moods or ideas. Expressionist artists have sought to express the meaning of emotional experience rather than physical reality. That disconnect from physical reality is what has characterized Tory policy since they took power 12 years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/business\/2022\/oct\/05\/over-330000-excess-deaths-in-great-britain-linked-to-austerity-finds-study\">Tories have presided over 330,000 excess deaths due to austerity<\/a><\/span> policies (a key feature of neoliberalism) since they have been in power. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2022\/oct\/02\/whisper-it-but-it-was-the-folly-of-brexit-that-paved-the-way-for-trusss-crazy-libertarian-zeal\">It was Brexit that turbocharged the race to the \u2018final solution\u2019 for British neoliberalism<\/a><\/span> and which placed Truss in power. <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BestForBritain\/status\/1572265581096869890\">The rich would have gotten that much richer under Truss<\/a><\/span>. She was the 5<sup>th<\/sup> PM in six years, if that sends a signal to the Tory Party, as in <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/campbellclaret\/status\/1583074718579851271\">maybe the British public doesn\u2019t like you so much<\/a><\/span>, putting it politely. If there is not a general election soon, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/adebayoadeniran.medium.com\/there-will-be-blood-on-the-streets-9498b6236c56\">there may be blood in the streets<\/a><\/span> if policies like those of the Tories continue. The Tories have taken the British public to be fools. Well, they aren\u2019t, and they have had enough.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">What we are seeing in the UK is <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newstatesman.com\/comment\/2022\/09\/yanis-varoufakis-zombie-capitalism-is-unravelling\">the end stage of zombie capitalism<\/a><\/span>, which in turn is the end stage of neoliberalism. Truss was never going to be allowed to be another Thatcher. That ship has sailed. Now, the Tories \u201cjust look like fools, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opendemocracy.net\/en\/liz-truss-kwasi-kwarteng-disaster-capitalism-brexit-britain\/\">standing on the prow of a boat that\u2019s abandoned its fleet, and pissing into the winds of history<\/a><\/span>, only to find they are getting themselves wet.\u201d Their attempt at disaster capitalism has turned the public sharply against them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The day before the final curtain, Truss was caught up in the maelstrom. The outcome was clear. Transiting Ceres was at the MC and squaring Mars, showing a distinct turn of events. Given the midpoints there, and that Ceres has a Pluto-like action, a major upset was indicated. That was reinforced by Saturn about to make its direct station square to Uranus \u2013 out with the old, in with the new.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">The scenes at Parliament were legend. The Hamster was forced to resign, two of the whips quit, Conservative parliamentarians were manhandled into a no-confidence vote. There was a newscast later that stated, \u201c<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JibbaJabb\/status\/1582841253699280896\">None of us here have ever witnessed anything like this<\/a><\/span>\u201d. And even a German newscast broadcast <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/benphillips76\/status\/1583068995527200768\">some of the choicest words (in English) stated during the chaos<\/a><\/span> (listen to the end). Now we come to the final act of the Truss administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">Final act: At about 13:35 BST on the 20<sup>th<\/sup> of October, Liz Truss emerged from No. 10 and announced her resignation. The nation breathed a collective sigh of relief. There were no curtain calls.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">So, Liz Truss\u2019 short time as PM is finished. A new one will be chosen in a week. Then she will make her way to her final <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mikegalsworthy\/status\/1568593716469694464\">burtsey to the King<\/a><\/span> as she hands in her resignation. Yet another unelected PM to lead the British people through this crisis? Who shall it be? Well, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatimes.com\/trending\/human-interest\/mystic-vegs-2022-predictions-558243.html\">the asparagus psychic \u2013 Jemima Packington, a.k.a. \u2018Mystic Veg\u2019<\/a><\/span> \u2013 had Boris Johnson returning to power. It might be possible as a caretaker PM, and it would fit in with the current show, but would it be accepted.? Sunak and Mordaunt are favorites. There are rumors that BoJo is favored, too, along with Suella \u2018Hamster\u2019 Braverman. Mystic Veg also sees the King abdicating next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">There are <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ibtimes.co.uk\/king-charles-iii-heartbeat-away-death-report-claims-doctors-told-prince-william-prepare-1706807\">already rumblings about Charles\u2019 health problems<\/a><\/span> (anything to grab a headline and clickbait), but that will be another post for another time. I like asparagus, though, (sans psychic) with a little bit of butter and salt. But I\u2019ll stick with astrology to read the signs of the times.
