The partial solar eclipse of 29 March 2025

Near sunrise on the eastern coast of North America there will be an eclipse on the 29th of March 2025. It has been called a ‘deep partial eclipse’, for reasons to be outlined. The significance of the eclipse in terms of events will be seen largely in Europe over the next few years. It will be a powerful eclipse and will signal sudden and unexpected changes. For more, read on…

The eclipse of 29 Mar 2025 is a partial, north node eclipse, the last partial eclipse before the total eclipses of the solar Saros series 149. It is the 21st of 71 eclipses in the series and will be the largest partial eclipse of the series, hence the appellation of the term ‘deep partial eclipse’. This is thus a waxing series, gaining in strength.

The eclipse path is described as follows:

“The eclipse begins near the northern coast of South America at 8:50 UTC. The deepest part of the eclipse is at 10:47 UTC. The partial eclipse remains visible through the last location – far northern Siberia – until 12:43 UTC. The map for the eclipse path is below. We see from the map that the path of the eclipse goes mainly over the western Atlantic from the northern coast of South America until it crosses over Canada. The maximum eclipse is at 10:49 UTC over far northern Quebec, Canada near Papiit. It is a sunrise eclipse for the East Coast of the US and Canada. At the maximum eclipse it will appear as a thin sliver of sunlight under the Moon’s occultation on the eclipse path. This is largely a trans-oceanic eclipse path. Once it leaves Canada the eclipse strikes an arc over the Arctic and ends in Siberia. The trans-oceanic eclipse path will have significance a bit later here.

The chart for the eclipse is below (bigger):

There are several outstanding features to the chart, startting with the Mercury/Neptune conjunction on the 0° Aries world view point. In fact, it is the central feature of the chart aside from the eclipse. There is a stellium there, along with Venus and the north node. Given the wide orbs of the Sun and the Moon, those can also be included in the stellium. As the ‘world view’ point suggests, this eclipse will signal a fundamental change in the way we view our current international relations. We will have more on that in a bit.

This Mercury/Neptune conjunction can (and will) work in two primary fashions. For positive people imbued with a good moral compass it will tend to produce:

“The power of imagination, an abundant imaginative realm or sphere, the power of sympathetic and compassionate understanding with regard to other people, intuitive thinking, perception and vision in depth, a grasp of the most subtle and most attenuated correlations or relationships, idealism.”

For people only interested in self-gain and power it will tend to produce:

“Wrong thinking, faulty judgment, confused ideas and (perceptions or) notions, a rather nervous sensitiveness, insincerity, fantastic visualisations, untruthfulness or the tendency to tell lies, a lack of clarity and self-deception.”

It is this latter tendency that is the most worrisome and we see this happenening even now with the Trump administration’s bellicosity toward Iran and Yemen, for instance. For analysts in the know about Yemen and Iran this administration is getting ready to crack open a hornet’s nest, much to their surprise (and shock). We see this also with the Zionsists, leadership in the EU and the nationalists in Ukraine.

The eclipse point is semisquare to Uranus, showing sudden and unexpected changes in relations (being a north node eclipse). Mars is the lord of the eclipse, as there are no planets within a few degrees of the lunation. Mars is still just out-of-bounds and is on its way to its last opposition with Pluto for this year. Mars and Saturn form the base of a soft triangle with Uranus at the apex, while the eclipse point is semisquare to the Mars/Saturn midpoint, wihich reads as follows:

    • Endurance, the power of resistance, indefatigable, along with tests of strength, disputes, separations, illnesses and cases of death.

What we can say about the eclipse thus far is that we will see destructive processes that will lead to a more realistic re-evaluation of our circumstances. That is supported by the Sabian symbol for the eclipse point itself:

    • A teacher gives new symbolic forms to traditional images. 9Ar00

Note: The eclipse degree is at the exact 9th degree of Aries, zero minutes, so we do not round up to the next degree.

The opposite degree on the eclipse axis also has to be considered:

    • Three ‘old masters’ hanging on the wall of a special room in an art gallery. 9Li00

What these two symbols represent for us is the teaching power of events and experiences, coupled with the necessity of a return to source during a confused search for meaning in chaotic times. This eclipse will be a great clarifier as to the events that it signals.

The eclipse is also conjunct the dwarf planet Salacia, at 10Ar38. Salacia was the goddess of saltwater and calm oceans. We have the following description of her:

“The god Neptune wanted to marry Salacia, but she was in great awe of her distinguished suitor, and to preserve her virginity, with grace and celerity she managed to glide out of his sight, and hid from him in the Atlantic Ocean. The grieving Neptune sent a dolphin to look for her and persuade the fair nymph to return and share his throne. Salacia agreed to marry Neptune and the King of the Deep was so overjoyed at these good tidings that the dolphin was awarded a place in the heavens, where he now forms a well known constellation Delphinus. Salacia is represented as a beautiful nymph, crowned with seaweed, either enthroned beside Neptune or driving with him in a pearl shell chariot drawn by dolphins, sea-horses (hippocamps) or other fabulous creatures of the deep, and attended by Tritons and Nereids. She is dressed in queenly robes and has nets in her hair. Salacia was the personification of the calm and sunlit aspect of the sea.”

The preceding adds depth to the meaning of the chart, no pun intended. Salacia adds the note of the need for tranquillity as the waves and storms rage above and around us. We do not notice the storms and waves in the depths of the ocean – as in the depths of our meditations. It will take a strong inner resolve to remain detached from what we are going to witness over the intervening months.

The midpoint Pluto=Sun/Uranus comes into effect the day after the eclipse, giving us the following:

    • “A radical reformer, the desire to rearrange things. – Tragic experiences, great physical suffering, sudden physical restrictions. (Imprisonment),”

While the midpoint Mars=Saturn/Uranus came into effect the day before the eclipse:

    • “An act of violence, the occasionally wrong use of extraordinary energy, undergoing great efforts and toil. – A violent or forced release from tensions or strains, the stage of challenging others for a decisive contest or fight. – Injury, accident, deprivation of freedom.”

Regarding the release of tensions or strains, we note there was a large earthquake (7.7 Mag) in Myanmar on the day that midpoint came into effect, a day before the eclipse, as well as another significant quake close to Vanuatu the same day. This latter midpoint also reflects the threats we are seeing in the Red Sea and against Iran. This brings us to the culmination lines, shown below (bigger):

Noting the last midpoint described above, we see the Mars midpoint culmination line running through China and Southeast Asia, and on to Western Australia. Myanmar is within orb of that line. That midpoint is valid until 10 April.

The Pluto culmination line more or less lies along the eclipse path in the western Atlantic. The real interest in this line lies with Brazil, who is heading the BRICS nations this year (BRICS has a rotating presidency). Their summit is scheduled for July, just before the first Mars activation of this eclipse. There is a powerful US-backed elite in Brazil, who would like nothing better than to spoil such a meeting. Moreover, they would like to see Brazil leave BRICS.

As we see from the remainder of the culmination lines, they are by and large centered on Europe and West Africa. The eclipse culmination line itself runs directly through Scandinavia, Germany and Italy, while the stellium centered on the Aries world view point has its culmination lines running through the UK, France and Spain. The UK, France and Germany are the three main European nations seeking to continue the war in Ukraine.

It is in Europe where we are likely to see the most significant change of views among the people and their leadership regarding the war, as they come to realize the Russians will finally prevail over the nationalists in Kiev – and moreover as they realize the Russians have no intention of attacking other European states. We can expect growing unrest in Europe as a result.

The first Mars activation of the eclipse comes opposite the lunation on the 21st of August this year. Then in April of next year there is a dual Mars/Saturn activation, with Mars exact on the lunation on the 21st, and with Saturn following a degree behind. That activation will show the biggest results of this eclipse, which will likely result in a very significant financial adjustment across the West.

The Uranus culmination line runs through Iran and the Strait of Hormuz. If we are to see any large and unexpected events from this eclipse, we will probably see them along that line. The Israelis are desperate to attack Iran, whereas Trump wants to make a deal with the Iranians. We hold a point of meditation that the region will remain peaceful.

Lastly, regarding the culmination lines, the Jupiter line runs through India and the far western border of China, where tensions have been raised in the past over border disputes. There is actually hope that the BRICS bloc can find an effective and lasting solution to those tensions, which this eclipse may help to produce.

With these points in mind, the following nations will be affected by the eclipse of 29 March 2025:

The UK: Horizon axis
Haiti: Horizon and Saturn
Mexico: Chiron
Greece: Moon
Brazil: Chiron
Bolivia: Ceres and Pluto
Canada: Horizon
Türkiye: Mars
Lebanon: Venus
Italy: Neptune
Pakistan: Neptune
India: Neptune
Myanmar: Neptune
Israel: Neptune
South Korea: Neptune
North Korea: Mercury and Neptune
NATO: Venus and Neptune
Ireland: Neptune
China: Sun and Mercury
Tunisia: Ceres
Qatar: Uranus
Spain: Venus and Pluto
Iran: Sun
Kazakhstan: Midheaven
Russia: Jupiter
Rojava: Midheaven
Donetsk: Chiron

Notable in the list above are the nine nations where Neptune is activated. These nations (the current governments) will be subject or subjected to a general sense of confusion, weakness, heavy propaganda and misguided policy – OR they will find within their peoples those of vision who will begin to pull them out of their difficulties. The UK, with its horizon axis activated, needs a new sense of vision, as it is facing a very difficult period ahead as its elites seek to widen the gulf between themselves and the British public – the age-old game of creating an outer enemy in order to prevent a revolution against themselves at home.

In all, this eclipse will be a most trying, yet revealing event, especially with its subsequent activations by Mars and Saturn. For the average citizen it will test our capacity for sorting out the wheat from the chaff. We can expect a sharp increase in propaganda, especially of the type that seeks to lead us into war, while sharply denigrating so-called rogue and enemy states. We all know who they are. It is beholden upon is to study a bit to find out the truth about said nations, as well as the history of our own nations.

So, here it is, the bottom line: Stay calm, stay clear, make sure your imagination is clear and uplifting, and by all means, stay away from ‘team sports’ when it comes to politics and stay away from group-think. We will all be better off for it. The powers-that-be will be fighting hard to keep their place in the sun. But for us, the work is to bring the light to bear upon them. Stay safe. Stay well. Stay connected. And if you live in Quebec, enjoy the eclipse!
