November 4, 2025 was a big day in American politics. There were several elections, several ballot measures on the docket, and tensions running high across the country. In perusing the media, the only important race would appear to have been that for the Mayor of New York City. But there was much more going on of probably greater importance. That said, Zohran Mamdani swept the New York City mayoral race with a clear margin of victory over Mario Cuomo. His victory was significant, but not the most important victory in yesterday’s vote.
