The wreck of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, 50 years on

November 10th is a solemn day of remembrance for Merchant Mariners in the US and abroad. On that day 50 years ago, during a November storm, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald broke in half and sank to the bottom of Lake Superior. There were no survivors. In this post we take a look back at the event itself and the astrology of the event. As it turns out, there are aspects to this tragedy that have yet to be resolved even today.
