2025 and the Green/Wood Snake – the planetary indicators

2025 began with a bang, following on the Capricorn ingress. Mars was retrograde, opposing Pluto and out-of-bounds. There were two potentially violent and destructive midpoints (see below). The Great Comet of 2025 reached perihelion at mid-January. There will be four eclipses this year, two of them total lunar eclipses, which are also full moons. Then, there is the first full year of a midpoint formed with the three outer main planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – which will finally end on the last year of the Trump administration (2028). Described below, that midpoint underpins all the other midpoints, marking the remaking of the world order over those years. 2025 will be a very full year astrologically and in terms of events. Enjoy!

Planetary Indicators

Eclipses: There will be four eclipses for 2025, two solar and two lunar, with two of them being total eclipses. The eclipses for 2025 are as follows, with the corresponding solar degree:

  • 14 Mar: Lunar total, 23Pi58, Saros 123, SN, Mercury lord, Moon is singleton
  • 29 Mar: Partial solar, 8Ar53, Saros 149, NN, eclipse in a stellium with Mer, Ven and Nep
  • 7 Sep: Total lunar, 15Vi24, Saros 128, NN, Neptune is lord
  • 21 Sep: Solar partial, 28Vi59, Saros 154, SN, opposite Neptune, Mercury is lord

Other active eclipses: All dates are for Mars activations unless otherwise noted. Solar activations for eclipses are only good for a few days, when the Sun passes over or opposite the degrees of the eclipses listed below. Calculate exactly.

Lunar Data

(For the following data, all times are in UT)

Note: The Moon started to go briefly out of bounds (OOB) in March of 2020, just before the new and full moon periods – in the north before the new moon and vice-versa for the full moon. The OOB period gradually increased throughout 2020 and throughout 2022. In 2023, the year started with the Moon headed out-of-bounds in the northern declination, culminating on 6 Jan at about 6° Cancer.

The Moon started going OOB when the first lockdowns for the pandemic started. The Moon rules the masses and childbirth, along with emotions and public opinion.

Lunistices: The OOB periods for the Moon this year last roughly 4 – 5 days. The extremes of the lunistices (‘lunar standstills’) are at their maxima this year at the equinoxes, north and south. The peaks of those periods are as follows. Times and minutes of arc are approximate:

Important midpoints to consider (45° modulus, 2° orb)

Note: Of particular interest is the midpoint Nep=Ura/Plu, one of long duration. At the 2° orb and 45° modulus this one came into effect on 4 July 2024 and will be in effect for all of 2025. It will persist in varying degrees of intensity throughout next year, 2027 and through to August of 2028 – throughout Trump’s 2nd term in office. From the middle of this year the configuration is that of a soft triangle with Neptune at the exact midpoint of a trine between Uranus and Pluto, signaling a more positive transformation in world affairs – toward cooperation instead of confrontation. The triangle will separate in December. In the first week of August this year Saturn will join Neptune at the midpoint, opposed by Mars, signaling a crisis, after which matters will settle. The full moon of August (Festival of Sirius) contains that configuration and shows an extraordinary figure, which will be addressed at the time. It will mark a pronounced change in world affairs, a likely schism between some powers, as well as a more powerful and positive emerging organization between other powers. This midpoint marks the true emergence of a ‘new world order’. Opinions vary greatly as to what that might be. Some idea of the meaning of the midpoint can be gleaned from the following, from Reinhold Ebertin:

Uranus/Pluto: “+ The attainment of great objectives by an immense application of effort, the bringing of new things into being, the creation of new conditions of living.– Acts of violence, upsets, subversive activities, putting the gun to someone’s head, the enforcement of decisions, an accident.

Nep=Ura/Plu: A sympathetic understanding of other people, the knowledge of human nature, deep study of a subject of special interest, the inclination to delve into the Supernatural Realms. – Insecurity and uncertainty, unfulfilled wishes, fatigue, nervous diseases (neuroses).”

All of the above will apply, according to peoples’, groups’ and nations’ inclinations. From 6 July until mid-November the same combination occurs, except it appears as Plu=Ura/Nep, indicating increasing confusion:

“A person who is influenced or impressed very easily by others. The inclination to remain at the mercy of external conditions and circumstances without trying to make a firm stand. – The abandonment of resistance, the necessity to give in, great losses, calamities, catastrophes.”

The reality of plans put in pace since the start of this year will force changes and abandonment of initiatives in favor of a more realistic view. Pluto, representing oligarchies, will face a period of reckoning over those months and onward. It could also mark a period of revolutionary upheaval. Without further ado, we move on to the general overview and timing of the midpoints:
