The 2021 Myanmar coup

In the early morning of 1 Feb 2021, the military in Myanmar staged a coup, as it is being called in the news, arresting Aung San Suu Kyi and other members of her ruling party. She is the de facto leader of the nation. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information emerges. The military is quite powerful in Myanmar, which has only seen democracy for a few years now, having been ruled by military juntas since its independence from the UK in 1948. We’ll have a look at the astrology of Myanmar and the coup here. Continue reading “The 2021 Myanmar coup”

The Biden administration

On the 20th of January 2021 at 11:49 EST Joe Biden took the oath of office for President of the United States. What follows in this post will be a brief astrological overview of the incoming administration and a broad overview for the next four years. The outgoing Trump administration lived up to its astrological signature, too, and we will have a brief look at that as well. With the nation being so divided now, it is helpful to look at what the road signs in the astrology indicate for the journey ahead for the US. With that in mind, we start with the inaugural chart for the Biden administration. Continue reading “The Biden administration”

The Biden admin, Pt. 2 – policy and precedents

Having looked at the general indicators in the Biden administration chart from Part I, we move on now to the expected outcomes, foreign and domestic. The Biden team’s efforts for the domestic front are ambitious and look positive. But foreign affairs look to be a different matter. Comment in independent media points to the Biden cabinet in relation to foreign affairs to be populated by neocons and regime change adherents. Given that the Trump administration and Obama before him were unable to achieve significant foreign affairs victories, there is little to suggest this administration will have much effect, either, in that realm. We start here with foreign policy and then end our review on a more positive note. Continue reading “The Biden admin, Pt. 2 – policy and precedents”

The 6th of January in depth

We have all heard the statement now, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” We just had a good example of that in the US. This is Part I of a follow-on post from the epiphany post. That post was a general overview of the 6th while we waited for more information to be revealed. With this post we will go much more into the astrological detail and what is really behind the events of the 6th. What is coming to light is not pretty, and while the riot was bad enough, what came after the fact has ominous overtones, and what may come further on still may be even worse. But before we get carried away with dystopic fantasies, the direr predictions are not showing in the astrology for the US. Read on, then, as we sort out that historic day from the astrological angle, and look a little into the future. Continue reading “The 6th of January in depth”

The 6th of January, the tech companies and the Patriot Act v. 2.0

Continued from Part I. Since the events on the 6th at the US Capitol, the tech companies have been busy banning people and groups, censoring anything that hints of violent speech, conspiracies and so forth, with Twitter purging over 70,000 accounts related to QAnon alone, and this after banning Trump himself for life. This is a move that will haunt them for years to come, as reaction has been swift, and the fall in the stock prices of Twitter and Facebook alone having tanked by $51 billion as of this writing. Facebook has borne the lion’s share of the lost stock price – karma, perhaps. Continue reading “The 6th of January, the tech companies and the Patriot Act v. 2.0”

An American epiphany – and more to come

Def: Epiphany – a moment of sudden and great revelation or realization. Wednesday (Jan 6) was a public holiday here in Italy, being a religious celebration. In the Catholic world it is the Day of the Epiphany, the Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation (theophany) of God incarnate as Jesus Christ. It was the day when the Magi paid a visit to the Christ child, the day also known as the Three Kings Day. It Italy it is also known as the day of Befana, who is a broomstick-riding old woman who brings gifts or a lump of coal to the kids. Yeah, it’s like a 2nd Christmas morning for the kids. She missed out on the Magi thing, so she has to work hard through the night bringing gifts to the other kids as a penance. But yesterday also had a great significance to the United States, and we watched all the goings-on here in Italy from across the pond. It was certainly a day of great realization for America, and a day of epiphany. The rest of the world looked on in disbelief. Continue reading “An American epiphany – and more to come”

The planetary indicators for 2021

Got a feelin’ ’21 is gonna be a good year? With last year in mind, we would probably have good reason not to be over-optimistic. But we start with a song:

“You didn’t hear it. You didn’t see it. You won’t say nothin’ to no one ever in your life. You never heard it, How absurd it, all seems without any proof… You won’t say nothin’ to no one. Never tell a soul, what you know is the truth” Apt lyrics, because 2021 will be the year of the great gaslighting across the West, along with a big dose of censorship. Je suis Tommy. Varuna: Progress starts with a little imagination

In the growing pantheon of new astrological planets, albeit small ones, there is one of particular interest to more esoterically inclined astrologers, which has its meaning grounded on the Vedas and Theosophical writings. This little planet was discovered in the year 2000 and is now known to us as Varuna (with the accent on the 1st syllable). Its symbolism is most interesting and revealing. It is also said to be connected with Neptune and Uranus. So, without further ado, meet Varuna. Continue reading “Varuna: Progress starts with a little imagination”

Biden: Adventures in chart rectification

Given Joe Biden is now the de facto victor in the Presidential race in the US, we want to have a closer look at his astrology. In this post that is all we will be doing, instead of looking at charges of corruption, his character or whether or not he will ‘restore the soul of America’. Opinions are just as hardened about Biden as they are about Trump. But such is the state of play in the US. It has been so for several decades now and will be into the future. There was a discussion of the latter in the Sagittarius letter for this year. But on subject, the birth time for Biden is given from memory from a piece in 1987 and looks to be rounded off. With that in mind, it would be a good idea to have a closer look and probably rectify his chart a little, especially if/when he becomes President. Continue reading “Biden: Adventures in chart rectification”

America and the 14 Dec 2020 solar eclipse

There will be an eclipse in less than a week, on 14 Dec 2020, which will fall across from the US Mars and across Donald Trump’s natal full moon axis. What could possibly go wrong? I have read comment to the effect that America has not been this divided since the Civil War. Maybe so. But the date of the eclipse perhaps will register for people who know a bit of civics: It’s the date when the Electoral College has to declare who won the election. The media has declared Biden the winner. Trump and most of his supporters are crying voter fraud. And Trump wanted to take this all the way to the SCOTUS. Who will prevail, and if voter fraud is proven, what next? And since Trump’s claims have been overall dismissed by the courts, including the SCOTUS, what next? We’ll have a look at the astrology of what will be a most interesting eclipse and historical moment in the annals of US elections here. But, before we get to the astrology and the background, we’ll begin with a quote to set the tone. Continue reading “America and the 14 Dec 2020 solar eclipse”
