On the 21st of September 2025 a partial solar eclipse will take place over the South Pacific. This is the last of three lunations in Virgo, making this also an astrological blue new moon. The eclipse also ushers in the Libra equinox. Kiwis should get a good view of the eclipse, with the maximum view at Invercargill, South Island. If you happen to be in Antarctica at the time the maximum eclipse will be visible at the Mario Zucchelli Station.
