THE LEGEND OF THE GRANARY RAT

There were two years when I was unable to do a proper Chinese New Year letter, and this was one of them. I had just finished a retreat and was making adjustments to my life at that point. However, I did write a short story about the associated Pillar -- the legendary Granary Rat. I have written stories for most of the 60 Stem/Branch combinations. Each of them has key phrases associated with them, and I have found those phrases to fit each of the years in general. So, if you like a good story, you can read it at the 'Download' button above. And, if you think back on the annus horribilis that was the financial year of 2008, some of the story themes might ring true!
