The folks who go to form the Davos crowd have announced the theme of their next meeting, a so-called “Great Reset”, to be put forward at the January 2021 World Economic Forum. It has been called the most radical and ambitious economic plan the world has seen in at least a generation. If pushed through, it would involve programs the likes of which Bernie Sanders campaigned for in his candidacy bids for the White House. We all know how those ideas were received. Yet, Western Europe has had those types of programs in place for decades, though they have been eroded by successive administrations in those nations under the auspices of IMF rules and globalization. However, the Great Reset is already underway, though we don’t know how it will all pan out. The most resistant nations will be the US and the UK. The reset is also shown in the planetary cycles – an eclipse and a Great Conjunction.
Before we get to the astrological indicators for the Reset and what they might show, what exactly are these world leaders talking about when they speak of the need for resetting the world economy? We have the following:
At a virtual meeting earlier in June hosted by the World Economic Forum, some of the planet’s most powerful business leaders, government officials and activists announced a proposal to “reset” the global economy. Instead of traditional capitalism, the high-profile group said the world should adopt more socialistic policies, such as wealth taxes, additional regulations and massive Green New Deal-like government programs.
“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” wrote Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in an article published on WEF’s website. “In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”
There is a short video which gives a synopsis of what was discussed at that virtual meeting. It’s an ambitious project, no? Essentially, their plan is to radically reform the present mode of capitalism. Given the bolded text above, however, do we really believe the vested interests in the United States and the UK, or even Europe, will go along with the talking points of the forum? More to the point, will they have a choice? There are three words that are never spoken in elite circles in the US, and those are ‘socialism’, ‘wealth taxes’ and ‘additional regulations’. Green New Deal? – well, that’s another matter, which we will look at further on in this piece.
Mention was made in the opening paragraph of planetary cycles that show the reset. The first of those relate to a specific eclipse, which we have examined before – the 10 Jan 2020 lunar eclipse (Capricorn full moon), which featured a quintuple conjunction of the Sun, Mercury, Ceres, Saturn and Pluto. The Saturn/Pluto conjunction was exact two days later, which was also a close conjunction of all the five factors just mentioned, within just over a degree. In effect, this ‘turbocharged’ the eclipse and signalled a world reset, starting with the coronavirus. The last time we saw a Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn was in 1518, which was also a world reset.
The aforementioned eclipse signalled both the current coronavirus pandemic and its response or lack thereof to it, which was announced as such on 11 March this year. The outbreak was called a ‘public health emergency of international concern’ on 30 January this year. When the emergency was upgraded to pandemic status, Jupiter was still activating the eclipse point. In short, the 10 January eclipse could be called the ‘COVID-19 eclipse’. It can also be called the ‘Great Reset eclipse’.
We looked at that eclipse in relation to the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in a previous article and described what it meant for the world then. We can look for more of the same now, and we are already seeing it – the end of empire, religious schisms (this time related to the Orthodox Church and the rise of Shia Islam), great changes in trade relations and so forth. Then, there is another cycle that comes into play that also signals significant changes, and that will come at the Capricorn ingress this year – the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius.
The so-called ‘Great Conjunction’ between Jupiter and Saturn takes place every twenty years, minus a few months. It tends to occur in a particular triplicity for a two centuries on average and then change triplicities – air, water, fire and earth, and in sequence. Since 1802 those conjunctions have taken place in earth signs – Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. The first such conjunction in earth was in Virgo, though it might be argued that it took place in Capricorn 20 years earlier, and it marked a shift in the world view as well as its power centers.
The earth period of the Great Conjunctions, just over two centuries, was marked by increasing control over the world’s resources and vying for the same between nations, the 2nd and 3rd industrial revolutions, the industrialization of the world, starting in the UK, rapid colonization by European and American powers and shifts in alliances resulting from that, the growing independence of states from their colonial masters later in the cycle, tremendous advances in chemistry, physics and science in general (material sciences, we should note) and the dominance of capitalism over the world financial system. Yes, there were some powerful communist states during that period, but Western capital still dominated.
The period before the earth Great Conjunctions began in 1603 in fire (Sagittarius). The fire period was the era of European exploration and the start of trade with the East, the conquest of the Americas by Europeans, an era of constant warfare, often over ideologies, an era of philosophical exploration and the challenging of religious authority and so on. The power of the Catholic Church began to seriously wane during that period, to be replaced toward the end of that era by the secular state.
The water period of the Great Conjunctions began in Scorpio in 1424. That era included the last great reset of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn. It was the era of the Renaissance, heralded the birth of the ‘European miracle’ in the centuries to follow (dominance and great wealth of the West), the first blow to the power of the Catholic Church in Europe (along with the Western Schism), the beginnings of European empires overseas, the birth of mercantilism as a financial model, and the birth of the scientific revolution.
To get an idea of what this next air period of the Great Conjunctions will entail, we go back to 1226. Times have changed a little since then, but we can still draw some parallels. This was the period of the High Middle Ages in Europe, and saw the decline of the Islamic Golden Age. It also saw the Mongol invasions and the height of the Mongol Empire under Genghis Khan. Europe was rapidly increasing its population. The Early Renaissance started in that era.
But the most striking events of the last air period of the Great Conjunctions were those that resulted in the collapse of Europe, which we can read as the West these days. There were schisms in the politics of the church and ethno-nationalism arose in Europe, resulting in wars and the evolution of the various states, based along cultural and ethnic lines. The Indian subcontinent and Western Africa saw a rise in economic prosperity. Europe was decimated by the Black Death, which also caused severe economic contractions for decades. So, Asia and Africa rose, while Europe was experiencing extreme difficulty.
The present period facing us with the commencement of the air series of Great Conjunctions sees the West at a crossroads, made very evident with the COVID-19 crisis. The next Great Conjunction will take place on 21 Dec 2020 at 16:14 UT at the first degree of Aquarius. The chart for the event is below (bigger):
The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in and of itself is a ‘law and order’ aspect, denoting the attainment of far-reaching objectives through industry, perseverance and patience. It is when people fall afoul of the rules of the game, whatever those are, that trouble comes. Then the aspect can point to dissatisfaction, irritability, many missteps and failure to achieve objectives due to not recognizing opportunities or ignoring major obstacles. Overconfidence then trumps caution. In all, it is an aspect that can bring great wealth, but one must be patient to see the benefits of it, because it takes time for the benefits of this aspect to bear fruit.
This particular Great Conjunction is also accompanied by the first activation of the 20 June eclipse that we just had, the annular solar eclipse at 0° Cancer. Suffice it to say, the end of this year will be rather interesting. That interest will also be augmented by the conjunction being at the Mars/Uranus midpoint, which indicates the possibility of violent and/or revolutionary actions and a general restiveness. That is moderated by the Moon/Venus midpoint, which gives a positive influence of women, somewhat taming to more martial indications.
However, given the preceding, Mars squares Pluto in the ingress/conjunction figure, with Ceres at the midpoint, semisquare to both Mars and Pluto. This shows a more decisive turn of events, along with the activation of the eclipse. As was pointed out in a previous article, the US will be quite stressed at that time, with the election having just taken place. And it may be a contested election, with all sorts of goings on in trying to decide the next leader and administration. The populace is divided, the economic situation is not good and the pandemic will not be gone by then, much as people may wish it to be.
The stresses in the US will also be reflected in Europe, especially in the UK, both of which will be tracking solar arcs of Pluto to their respective Midheavens, the US by conjunction and the UK by square. That is also the time when the Brexit deadline looms, and it is looking more and more like a no-deal Brexit – much to the delight of the Leavers – will be the end result. The solar arc of Pluto to any angle represents a major life milestone, and with Pluto, usually an end of an era.
The conjunction figure is also virtually identical to the Capricorn ingress figure for this year as far as planetary aspects go, taking place a little over 6 hours before the Great Conjunction. In all, we are looking at a kind of perfect storm developing. We have not seen the full development yet. Once the money-printing machine stops in the US, i.e. the via the Fed, then a market crash is on the cards, if by that time it has not already happened.
As the title of this piece indicated, the Great Reset is already taking place. It is not a single event, but a process, instigated by many factors. Blaming such a thing on the pandemic is a false narrative. All the factors indicating a collapse of Western power have already been in place and were more slowly developing over time. And in large part, those factors are tied to the financial capitalist model under which the West now operates, headed out of the US and London, which brings us back to the article from which the quote at the start of this piece was taken.
The Hill is a political media outlet, but the particular author of the article is associated with the Heartland Institute, a conservative libertarian outfit. Given that, we find this in his closing paragraphs, which will have a relation to what comes after this quote from the article:
For those of us who support free markets, the Great Reset is nothing short of terrifying. Our current crony capitalist system has many flaws, to be sure, but granting more power to the government agents who created that crony system and eroding property rights is not the best way forward. America is the world’s most powerful, prosperous nation precisely because of the very market principles the Great Reset supporters loathe, not in spite of them.
His opinion is arguable, especially the last two bolded points. We’ll reserve discussion on those points for another time. That said, the nations that have fared the best so far through this pandemic, which have GDP growth rates greater than that of the US and less debt (far less, actually), are those nations with mixed economies – semi-socialized, in other words. Western European nations are among those, but the most noteworthy are China, Russia, Vietnam, Japan and Nordic countries, excluding Sweden, in terms of their handling of the pandemic and the way in which they are moving forward. Economically, the East is showing positive growth now, while the West still flounders. It is not a positive indictment of crony capitalism.
As for the Green New Deal, this idea has its critics, and not without cause. It is a plan that can easily be taken over and gamed by the billionaire class, placing controlling interests in the hands of large corporations as to its infrastructure, which would do little to change the economic policy that has led the US to its present state. The GND also has its champions. But looking at the bottom line and given the current state of internal affairs in the US, the outlook for adoption of such a plan is grim.
However, if life in the US becomes too unbearable for too many people, then change will be forced on the government and moneyed interests, as happened during the Great Depression under FDR. Unless Wall Street, the oligarchs and the Western central banks are reined in, nothing much will change. And unless the GND increases the national productive powers of labor, as an initiative, it will create more problems than it solves.
Finally, the idea has been floated of a currency reset to offset the dominance of the US dollar, put forward by Mark Carney of the Bank of England. He advocates for a universal digital currency, were enough nations to get behind it. China is already working on its own digital currency, which would be used to bypass trade in US dollars, and would end the threat of US sanctions should a nation choose to opt in to the Chinese currency. It is already being trialled and its rollout has been accelerated since the US Congress passed its bill on sanctions for Hong Kong.
We may, in fact, see positive changes and more radical ideas flourish under the auspices of the Great Conjunction, resulting in a kind of Great Reset, perhaps championed by the US and Russia, both of those nations having Aquarian souls. The conjunction will take place trine the US Midheaven and will produce results over time. And then, there are the activations of the 21 June eclipse which will serve to shake up Congress, the military and police forces and the POTUS. It is difficult to say what will precipitate out of the present chaos we are seeing.
The next cycle of Great Conjunctions will last until 2160 and will usher us fully into the Aquarian Age. It will be a time when ideas and technology (in the widest sense of that term, material and virtual) will be the driving force of change and there will be a definitive shift out of emotional public opinion into informed debate. Societies will become more secular in prelude to more spiritual expressions emerging. Technology that lessens human suffering will be a key to the way forward. And with the first such conjunction being in Aquarius, group cooperation will be the order of the day, as well as humanitarian concerns.
The last such series of conjunctions in air was in the heart of the Piscean Age, when empire and concentration of power was in the ascendancy. This time around, we are already seeing the Aquarian energies in evidence, with the idea of imperialism fading fast and the care of the populace, cultures and the sovereign state taking on more importance. These next years immediately ahead are primed for radical change. We need to make the best of them if we want a peaceful and prosperous future, and that means an end to extremes in financial measures, an end to warfare and a return to cooperative values and statesmanship.

This is no ordinary great conjunction. It occurs at the time when the sun is at its lowest. It is heralded a week before by a solar eclipse and a week after by a lunar eclipse. At the same time the artificially supported population is nearing theoretical maximum and the earth that produces food is exhausted. There are some who will take advantage of this to initiate a cascade die off of billions. Covid 19 is real but the presentation is a fraud that will reduce the harvest ccx causing major starvation on the way to an imagined new age. The government’s know this and many will ride it for their own profit.
